VICTORIAN HOMES OF MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA

     It's a sunny, cool December morning, and we decide to take another one of our early morning walks.  We stroll along Albert Park and down Kerferd Road to the Pier in Melbourne Beach. Along the way we pass some of the great Victorian homes in South Melbourne. They were built during the economic boom of the 1880s with cast-iron filigree balconies, arched windows and tiled entries.  Here are some of my favorites:
